Joyce Meyer @ CHC

Hello everybody...! Had a great time on Sunday (19/8/07), going to neighbouring CHC and listening to Joyce Meyer. And now, with some appropriate encouragement by Ivy, I am now here to briefly write what I learned most from Joyce Meyer's sermon:

Well, Joyce Meyer's message was really simple, back to the basics but yet still profound. Some of her points which meant a lot to me (a lot rephrased in PeiYiing-ese):
1. Stay stirred up and amazed by the things God does, and don't allow yourself to get bored with all his miracles. (God is constantly performing great works, but once you cease to keep yourself amazed, you'll miss seeing all those works...)
2. You have received the love of God, so you can love yourself too. Once you can love yourself, you can love others too (since you can only give away what you have received), not with your own love only, but with God's overflowing love. Let His love overflow through you! :)
3. Loving God means being obedient to God.
4. Temple repair: Take care of yourself, love yourself, don't bash yourself up because God needs you to work through you. :)
5. You are truly free when you don't need to impress anybody. Nothing to prove, nothing to lose! :D
6. Be dressed in the Spirit - *put on* the Spirit ('put on' means you have to make the effort to do it).

...and last but not least, the message that spoke most loudly to me on Sunday:

7. Forgiveness - love your enemies.

Yep, so that's about it... Take care, everybody! :D
